Together we make an impact; on the future of our clients, our people and our communities, because throughout HLB we care about their well-being and success.
From economic uncertainty and geopolitical risk to climate change and cybersecurity, organisations today are faced with a broad spectrum of risks to business. In this ever-complex world, we aim to help those within the HLB ecosystem thrive today and in the future. Driven by our shared values and behaviours, we collaborate across the globe and find innovative ways to fulfil this purpose.

#HLBCommunities Day
We held our sixth #HLBCommunities Day - our annual network-wide initiative - on 7th June 2024. This was our most successful event to date with significant involvement from HLB firms across the world, seeking to make a tangible difference in our local communities.
We undertook 50+ individual community projects for Communities Day 2024, with a record amount of individuals involved and hours volunteered.
HLB firmly believe that engaging effectively with our global communities is the key to shaping an inclusive and sustainable future for all. With #HLBCommunities Day, we showcase our commitment to giving back and express our gratitude to the communities that nurture and support us.
Pictured below are just some of the incredible projects which our teams worldwide dedicated themselves to throughout the year.

HLB Cares

In 2024, we established HLB Cares to support our commitment to responsible business. The HLB Cares Leadership Team comprises of key leaders from across our global network who are passionate advocates for responsible business practices and the positive impact we as a network can create for our firms, clients, people and planet.
Responsible Business considerations are crucial to HLBs strategy and values; our aim is to be a greener and more inclusive organisation, more involved in our communities and engaging our people to create meaningful social value.
HLB Cares is anchored around these four key concepts:
A sustainable organisation: Providing tools and using partnerships to help members in their environmental efforts, including guidelines for sourcing greener suppliers and reducing carbon emissions.
An inclusive organisation: Offering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) tools and training, following an annual DEI Calendar and working alongside our established Global DEI Council.
An organisation grounded in the community: Community-based regional and global initiatives and recommendations to support community activities around the world.
A transparent organisation: Advice on best practices, frameworks and learning opportunities for world-class governance. Furthermore, HLB guidelines on whistleblowing and anti-slavery.
Care for coral: Our APAC conference initiative
At the HLB Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets conference in Bali, over 100 delegates partnered with Bali Blue Harmony for a hands-on experience.
The initiative combined education and action: following a coral conservation lecture, participants engaged in coral tying simulations, tagged HLB-branded corals, and deployed them in Nusa Dua’s seabed to aid reef restoration. Teams worked collectively—from tying corals to boat deployments.
HLB received a certification with corals monitored over the long-term by Bali Blue Harmony, as evidenced by these exciting pictures six months on!
By integrating CSR into our conferences we create an immersive experience for our people; leaving a lasting mark on Bali’s ecosystem while reinforcing our core organisational values.
